Follow up - 1st online meeting of the Community of Practice “Procurement Dialogues”

EU cooperation

On Thursday, 13th November 2025, over 30 participants from various EU Member States actively engaged in the online meeting of the “Procurement Dialogues” community of practice. The session focused on sharing insights and experiences related to the development and implementation of the strategic public procurement (SPP) roadmap across member states.

Representatives from DG GROW opened the meeting   emphasizing the importance of this community of practice in fostering collaboration and advancing strategic public procurement across the EU.

Throughout the meeting, participants discussed activities carried out over the past 10-12 months, challenges encountered, and the relevance of certain planned actions within their national SPP strategies. The dialogue also provided a valuable platform to share events, lessons learned, and future plans related to public procurement improvements.

In the second part of the discussion, attendees contributed ideas and suggestions for future thematic groups within the community of practice. The goal of the thematic groups is to address pressing challenges, potential legislative amendments considering the ongoing revision of the 2014 EU Public Procurement Directives, and other topics to enhance strategic public procurement.

This collaborative exchange highlighted the commitment of member states to advance public procurement practices, share further any good practices from Member States and set a clear roadmap for continued cooperation and thematic focus in the months ahead.

The upcoming activities of the CoP consist of the online questionnaire to select two specific thematic groups and the preparation for the next community online meeting planned for January 2026.
