The Community of Practice (CoP) on Social Procurement is a collaborative group of members from across Europe that focuses on strengthening human and labour rights in public procurement, as well as human rights due diligence. Recognising the growing need to address the social dimension of sustainability, the CoP aims to build a shared understanding of labour considerations throughout the entire value chain. This includes alignment with local, national and international labour standards to ensure fair working conditions and ethical sourcing practices across all contracted suppliers and subcontractors.
Through knowledge sharing, policy exploration and the creation of common tools, the CoP seeks to exchange and promote critical knowledge in socially responsible public procurement.
