Social Public Procurement for Energy Communities

The community focuses on energy communities that aim to participate in public procurement processes.

About Social Public Procurement for Energy Communities

This community provides resources and guidance to energy communities on public procurement through the exchange of good practices. It connects local energy communities with public authorities and other relevant organisations that have expertise in energy-related public procurement.

Objective

The objective is to create a platform where members can share experiences, spark discussions, access relevant knowledge and resources, ask questions, and request support for their specific cases. The community creates value by building capacity among sub-national stakeholders and connecting them with peers and relevant organisations that have access to diverse networks, knowledge hubs and public authorities. It also supports energy communities in navigating complex supranational legal frameworks.

Focus

The community focuses on energy communities that aim to participate in public procurement processes. It provides opportunities for peer exchange and dialogue with public authorities and procurement specialists. It also offers relevant guidance on topics of interest and updates on European Commission frameworks for public procurement.

Current and Future Activities

The community is actively engaged in developing and sharing practical guidance documents and resource materials to support members in their procurement journeys. We regularly curate and disseminate news articles and updates on relevant events happening across the sector, ensuring members stay informed on developments that matter to them. Looking ahead, we will be hosting webinars on topics identified as priorities by and for the community, creating additional opportunities for learning, dialogue, and direct engagement with experts and peers.
