European Parliament adopts own-initiative report
On 9 September, the European Parliament adopted an own-initiative report on public procurement with 432 votes in favour. The report calls on the Commission to simplify the current framework by reducing bureaucracy and regulatory burdens while maintaining high social and environmental standards and preventing social dumping, thereby boosting the EU’s competitiveness.
