A Trilogue on State-Sponsored Forced Labor in Clean Energy Supply Chains: As we move towards climate neutrality, we must ensure that Europe’s energy transition is just and reflects European values. The question of how Europe should respond to the twin challenges of climate change and human rights abuses is not a trolley problem, and civil society, policymakers, and industry must work together to identify solutions that do not require Europe to compromise on its response to either challenge. With this in mind, the European Solar Manufacturing Council (ESMC) is pleased to convene what is believed to be the first-ever trilogue on forced labor in the clean energy supply chain, with a particular emphasis on photovoltaic solar.
