The Community on Sustainability in ICT, aims to lead Europe’s twin green and digital transformation by fostering innovative, sustainable practices in the public procurement of ICT. The Community envisions ICT and digital technologies as catalysts for achieving climate and environmental objectives, reducing resource consumption, and advancing eco-friendly solutions. By empowering public buyers and fostering collaboration with diverse stakeholders, it seeks to build a resilient, transparent, and environmentally conscious ICT ecosystem that aligns with societal and ecological priorities.

TCO Certified will officially launch the new criteria in the new generation of TCO Certification, as well as presenting their Roadmap for Sustainability in ICT. 

The event is organised independently by TCO Certified, and it is shared in the context of a collaboration between TCO Certified and Big Buyers Working Together.

Together toward sustainable IT — unveiling our roadmap and new criteria

Sustainability is a team effort. When we work together, change will happen faster. For more than 30 years, we’ve worked with the global IT industry and buyers worldwide to improve sustainability in the tech world. The criteria in TCO Certified are updated every third year to push sustainability where it matters most. Now, we want to take the next step with you.

Join us as we discuss the steps needed to drive sustainability in four key areas: climate, substances, circularity and supply chain. We are excited to share our Roadmap for Sustainable IT with an external audience for the first time, along with the criteria in the new generation of TCO Certified. Thousands of updates and changes have been made to drive circularity, reduce the climate impact of IT products, improve working conditions for over 100,000 people and replace thousands of harmful substances with safer alternatives. The first verified models that meet all criteria will also be made public.
