Description
Following the Commission Communication on Addressing Shortages in the EU, the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) is preparing an EU guidance on best practices for public procurement of medicines. The focus is on procurement practices that can make a direct contribution to security of supply and availability of medicines throughout the product lifecycle, by effectively integrating supply security as an award criterion. To support the process, the Commission has asked a contractor (Cecoforma/PredictBy) to put into place an expert group process, with specialists from the Member States, to contribute to the development of the guidance.
With this e-mail we would like to cordially invite you to the Consultation Conference regarding the EU guidance on public procurement of medicines. The aim is to discuss and collect overarching feedback on the content of the paper, which will further support Member States and procurers in their procurement practices.
The event will take place online on the 23rd of May, from 15:00 to 17:00 CET (cfr. draft agenda attached), and you can register through the following link. Join us as we take stock together and to discuss the future of public procurement in Europe.
