"Innovation Procurements Hubs" programme launching with webinar on 18/3/25

Future starts in Europe. This is the promise and conviction behind the Innovation Procurement Hubs programme. We are excited to announce and invite you to the official launch of this important initiative. We empower public authorities across the EEA to secure innovative solutions more effectively from enterprises and start-ups at the forefront of technological advancement.

On the 18th of March 2025, we will host a 90-minute webinar to spark dialogue, share success stories, and invite you to be part of this journey. Led by DG GROW and EISMEA, the Innovation Procurement Hubs Programme aims to equip you with the resources, guidance, and collaborative network necessary to establish and strengthen your own Innovation Procurement Hub. By attending the webinar, you will get insights into current challenges of public procurement of innovation through case studies and interactive discussions and learn how we can make the public sector more impactful in serving European citizens.

The need for such collaboration has never been greater. Around the world, the race to develop breakthrough technologies is intensifying. Solutions that will shape how we live, work, and engage with each other in the coming decades. To maintain its leading role, the EEA must foster innovation from within, ensuring that progress is rooted in our shared values of democracy, freedom, and sustainability.

Today, many public authorities struggle with sourcing innovation, because processes are complicated, risk needs to be avoided, and market access is limited. Innovation Procurement Hubs help solve these problems. Their goal is to ensure that new technologies are created in the EEA and used where they can have the greatest impact - for the benefit of our citizens.
