Welcome to the official Q&A post for the Co-Publishing Space Survey! It will be regularly updated to ensure clarity and transparency for all community members.
Question: Will the presentation be available after the meeting?
Response: Yes, the presentation and full webinar recording are available for replay and sharing. You can access both here
Question: Is the Co-Publishing Space already live?
Response: No, the CPS is currently in the design and consultation phase. This survey is one of the tools we are using to gather stakeholder input before moving toward implementation.
Question: How can we encourage suppliers to participate in the survey?
Response: Share the value of shaping a future tool that’s meant to make early-stage innovation opportunities more visible and accessible to them. You can also emphasise how their input can help reduce entry barriers and improve matchmaking with public buyers.
Question: How is this different from the EU Public Procurement Data Space?
Response: The CPS complements the Data Space. While the Data Space focuses on structured procurement data exchange, the CPS aims to support early engagement, visibility of needs, and supplier-buyer matchmaking before tenders are formally published.
Question: We’re part of a similar initiative. How can we collaborate?
Response: We’d welcome collaboration! You can share insights from your work, promote the survey to your networks, and help ensure the CPS reflects the needs of digital hubs and regional ecosystems. We’re happy to explore synergies with programmes like yours.
Question: Will ethical and sustainable procurement be considered?
Response: While not the primary focus of the CPS, ethical and sustainability dimensions are acknowledged and reflected in the survey. These aspects may be considered, particularly in relation to advisory and evaluation support features, depending on stakeholder input.
Question: How will the CPS interact with national or regional initiatives?
Response: The CPS is not intended to replace existing systems but to complement them. It will provide a shared space to co-publish early-stage challenges and facilitate EU-wide access, while enabling integration with national platforms and priorities.
Question: Will the platform automate procurement processes, e.g., pooling suppliers?
Response: Automation is not the main goal, but we are exploring features like intelligent matchmaking and filters that could support forming consortia or identifying complementary suppliers, especially for complex or cross-border needs.
