Market research challenge: automation of the phenotypic measurements of plants

poppy plants

The Public Procurement Promoting Innovation (PPPI-) Service Center (IÖB Servicestelle) currently supports the AGES  (Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety) with the following market research challenge:

The AGES is looking to automate the phenotypic plant measurements in fields Automation of plant assessment and visual classification of plant test elements via our IÖB Innovation plattform.  We are looking for a hard- and/or software innovation that can increase the efficiency in seed certification, plant health and plant identification, reduce labour and time while also increasing the standardization of the data.  Ideally the innovative hard- and software technologies should enable data collection (e.g. plant population density, health, deviations) and analysis (identification of plant characteristics, damage detection, etc.) of cultivated crop to enable the scientists at AGES to implement control measures timeously.

If you have the solution, get active and submit your innovation here!  Closing date for submissions is 5 March 2025.
