The initiative builds on the political agreement reached in December 2023 on the EU AI Act, the world’s first comprehensive law governing AI, which fosters the growth of safe and ethical AI across Europe.

The new package expands these efforts, introducing measures such as privileged access to supercomputers for startups and the broader innovation community, ensuring Europe remains a leader in ethical AI development.
