The Public Procurement Data Space (PPDS): latest developments

plug

Since the publication of the Public Procurement Data Space (PPDS) communication earlier this year, which is uploaded as a Resource to this Platform,  the Commission has been focusing on making the Public Procurement Data Space a reality. The first steps were taken with the identification of PPDS requirements and the definition of the technical solutions that best suit its implementation.

The work the Commission accomplished together with the stakeholders via the co-creation sessions that took place earlier this year, allows the PPDS to enter a new phase. We would like to inform you on the PPDS latest developments:

👉 PPDS website coming!  - the Commission is developing the PPDS website, to give easier access to the PPDS and to ensure visibility and communication with PPDS users.

👉 Development of a PPDS pilot - building on the PPDS MVP (Minimal Viable Product)  the Commission is developing a fully functional PPDS pilot with an initial group of Member States. The objective of this pilot is to map the data to the eProcurement Ontology and to enhance the visualisation for end users. With the help of agile working methods, the Commission aims to improve the PPDS pilot during the course of 2024.

What’s next?

The Commission is preparing the next cycle of co-creation session(s). The first Co-creation session is planned for  14th December (10h to 14h – on-line) - Save the date!. In this session the Commission will present the PPDS Website, and the PPDS Pilot to a group of stakeholders  Furthermore, the Commission will  introduce the PPDS GitLab with the aim to use this tool for documentation and to enhancing the collaboration with the stakeholders. The Commission experimented using this too to capture your feedback from the previous co-creation sessions. The next session will be both an opportunity exchange on these tools, and to elaborate further on PPDS indicators and analytics.

To express your interest in participation in the next co-creation session, please see the details in the  Event  that is created.
