The Big Buyers Working Together (BBWT) project aims to enable public buyers across Europe to find innovative and sustainable solutions to their current procurement challenges. To build the foundation for four years of collaboration, the project has just begun with its Needs Assessment (NA) phase by launching a Survey. Filling in the Survey gives EU public buyers an opportunity to indicate their main areas of public procurement interests, challenges and needs. The deadline for filling in the Survey is 25th of June 2023. Over the coming months, the BBWT team will use the feedback from the NA to narrow down the list of topics and to create ten new Communities of Practice (CoPs) addressing the areas of the highest importance to public buyers.
The additional CoPs resulting from the NA will be hosted on the Public Buyers Community Platform, providing participants a platform to collaborate, build capacity, exchange knowledge and best practices, and maximise their potential to drive the market demand for innovative and sustainable products, goods and services. The Big Buyers Working Together project will also fund various activities for the members, such as participation in meetings and study visits, the organisation of market engagement activities and support to develop tender documentation and criteria.
