New report offers a practical framework for socially responsible public procurement

The new report 'How to Apply Socially Responsible Public Procurement: An Impact-Driven Framework with Indicators and Practical Examples' provides a structured approach to integrating social considerations into public procurement. It introduces a framework with key indicators to assess social impact in areas such as employment, working conditions, accessibility, and sustainability. The report analyses 75 procurement procedures across the EU, highlighting good practices and common challenges.

Commissioned by EISMEA and conducted by PwC EU Services and ICLEI, the report offers actionable policy recommendations to help public authorities maximise the social benefits of procurement. By leveraging public procurement for social objectives, policymakers and procurement professionals can drive meaningful change and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future.
