Webinar introduces two EU public procurement training programmes

Overview of the PPE+ training programme

The European Commission in cooperation with ICLEI Europe organised a webinar to introduce two new training programmes, focusing on promoting the uptake of strategic and innovation public procurement throughout Europe. These two training programmes PPE+ Europe 2024 and Procure Innovation EU

PPE+ Europe 2024 is a continuation of a previous programme that was designed to improve the administrative capacity of the staff with key procurement functions in European central purchasing, as well as for staff working in regulatory and/or policy functions related to central public procurement The trainings got very positive feedback from the participants, and in some cases also contributed to reshaping public procurement policy at national and regional level. This success has enabled PPE+ Europe 2024 to provide four more training programmes over the next four years. 

The PPE+ 2024 training progiramme offers a combination of practical and academic approaches, allowing participants to benefit from the extensive knowledge of variety of organisations and experts in the field of public procirement. The next training programme will take place in November 2024 in Vienna (Austria). Participants who are interested in joining can apply to join by 21 August. To register, click here

The Procure Innovation EU training programme aims to enhance innovation procurement by advocating for a cultural shift within the public sector, empower public buyers, including staff and decision-makers, with specialised training, encouraging contracting authorities to adopt an innovation culture, and to deliver trainings which will cover both legal and practical aspects of public procurement.
