This autumn, the Big Buyers Working Together (BBWT) project team will deliver insights on a bouquet of best practices across our cities. From an 8k metro line extension in Fornebubanen (Oslo), to the first 100% circular office in Belgium, Kamp C, project participants in our Zero Emission Construction Sites and Circular Construction Communities of Practice (CoPs) respectively will be visiting these sites to feast their eyes on what their project colleagues have achieved.
The Oslo metro extension has been managed entirely with zero emissions (the hint is in the CoP title), while Kamp C is a showcase of circular construction and production, aimed especially at public authorities.
And that’s all planned before the month is through. The CoP members will also take part in the 2nd Toward Zero-Emission Off-Road Equipment Symposium to be held on 18-19 September in Oslo.
Jealous already? Remember that you can still join our Communities of Practice – check out the full list of CoPs at the bottom of this article and see what excites your interest. For those of you who want to join or learn more, just email big.buyers@eurocities.eu. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for us to bring fresh ideas to you here on the Collaboration Space, Eurocities website, and the Big Buyers Community Platform.
As those of you who have been involved in our projects know, it’s not all jet-setting visits. CoPs have also been getting into action by finishing up their work plans and on upcoming actions to develop more strategic and innovative approaches to public procurement – the heart of BBTW.
Still, before the last leaves fall from the tree, BBWT will lead study visits to Brussels (CoP Social), to Bilbao (CoP Digital), to Riga (CoP New European Bauhaus), to Eindhoven (CoP Heavy Duty Electric Vehicles), to Amsterdam (CoP Sustainable Solar Panels) and to Barcelona (CoPs Healthcare). Aside from study visits, the team works actively on preparations for the 1st Virtual Meeting with Decision Makers and the first Hackathon event. And much more is to come.
Check out some upcoming activities and join our CoPs!
